Captain's Blog

This was a mid-August storm -- apparently unusual for CSprings. This panorama isn't the best lighting, but you get the idea of  our goooorgeous view (hope this never gets old!). So, after the daytime storm, another started on Pikes Peak. Weird how it's just dumping itself right on the peak. As it got darker, an awesome light show started and I  snagged my 1st lighting shot, ever! Mind you.... it was dry at our house, this ENTIRE time.   So weird, but so cool! :)

This is Mueller State Park.   It's about 45 mins W of Colorado Springs and  we've become regular visitors. :) Awwww.....  :) We just never get tired of the views out here. So awesome.  This is the Jewish portion of the Air Force Academy chapel.   We'd seen the rest of the chapel and academy,  but never this section.  Cool! Overall, it was such a great time with them.  Can't wait until their next trip up!

The Lamis family got to come for a visit!   Of course, we took them to Mueller State Park. :) Then, Garden of the Gods... Fortunately for us, Grace got to celebrate  her birthday with us!  How cool! And the weather had to put on a show for them. They didn't mind one bit. :)

The Hatchers got to visit us... back in our apartment! Look at Roxie.....traitor. Of course, we took them to Mueller State Park. And Garden of the Gods.   Or "GOT-G!" as Michael says. They then headed on to Rocky Mountain National Park, etc. We just so enjoyed their time with us. :)

Here is the final summary of our kitchen remodel. Before - Kitchen Before - Wet Bar Setting up camera for recording for montage Demo Time! Paint Time! My Office! Storage! Daily Entertainment... with usual result. Electricians & Cabinetry Getting there... Countertops & Appliances IN! ALL DONE! Just the cabinets, appliances, countertop, backsplash, sink, ceiling fan, electrical, plumbing, and painting *whew!*
